_She was built in Vancouver BC in 1913 as a two-masted 86-foot halibut schooner with auxiliary gas, soon converted to diesel power.

In the photo below one of the two hatless young men facing the camera is likely MC Chetwynd, who according to newspaper accounts would be lost at sea on this voyage.
